Junior Rally Driving Experience in Yorkshire
A nice little Experience located in Whitby, North Yorkshire.
If your child is aching to get their hands-on the controls of a rally car, then they’ll love this junior rally driving experience situated at a race track in Saltburn, North Yorkshire. The fully qualified rally driving instructor will assess and show them how to complete cool manoeuvres including lift-off, oversteer and handbrake turns as they take the wheel of either a Corsa or Ka Rally car. The more experienced and comfortable attendees will even get a chance to try these moves out for themselves. The instructor will make sure everyone is safe and in control with training in basic skills, clutch control and braking giving you peace of mind, while they enjoy the thrill of the ride on this amazing experience.
Selected weekend dates once a month during term time.
Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain) which would make driving at speed dangerous. There are covered facilities for spectators.
Your experience lasts around three and a half hours, including a briefing, tuition with an instructor, around 30 minutes driving time, a high speed demonstration drive and a full debrief. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure a prompt start.
There will be a maximum of two groups of five people taking part. All tuition is on a one to one basis.
You can bring one spectator free of charge, and extra spectators can join you for £10 each (payable on the day). Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone must stay within the designated viewing areas and observe instructions. No pets admitted.
Wear flat-soled shoes (not chunky trainers please) and bring a jacket or coat. A helmet with intercom will be provided.
Minimum age is 11, maximum is 17. Minimum height is 4’2”, maximum is 6’4”. Maximum weight is 18 stone. No previous driving experience is required. All drivers must be accompanied by an adult (minimum age 18).
