Hands-on Falconry Taster in Suffolk

Take a rare glimpse into the wonderful world of falconry with this one hour taster session based in the peaceful Suffolk countryside. Handle and fly a resident owl and a falcon from the specialised bird of prey centre to the glove, under expert guidance of a trained falconer. Learn lots of insightful facts about these magnificent birds, including hunting habits and details of their favoured natural habitats. This falconry experience is both fun and practical, and the birds enjoy showing off their considerable skills in front of an audience. So make the most of this rare opportunity to witness the majestic predators in action, amongst the splendour of the Brett Valley’s rural surroundings.
Seven days a week throughout the year, excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
The venue calls by 8am the morning of the experience to confirm go ahead. However if travelling long distance, please call them the evening before to avoid any disappointment.

Spectating guests are welcome for a fee of £7.50 per person which is payable direct (by cash or cheque only) on the day.
Dress for the outdoors and wear wellies or walking boots. Feel free to bring along a camera and/or a pair of binoculars.
Minimum age six (children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult who has paid the spectator fee). Wheelchair users are welcome as the site is equipped with hard paths and disabled toilets.
