Get to grips with your DSLR camera on this fun and educational photography course in Richmond-Upon-Thames. Conducted by experienced working photographers, this course teaches a variety of important camera based skills in addition to tips on photographic arrangement and creative composition, which are sure to help spruce up any photo album! Learn about exposure control, ISO and white balance, shutter speeds and aperture and apply these newfound skills during the day under the guidance of professional photographers. At the end of the experience, take away course notes and a certificate of participation.


A Saturday or Sunday date at least four times a year.


The course may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice or severe rain). Please call the venue if in any doubt.

How long does the experience last?

The experience starts at 9.30am and finishes at approximately 4.30pm, including a break for lunch (not provided).

How many other people?

A maximum of 12 participants share the day.

Can I take people to watch?

This experience is not appropriate for spectators.

What do I wear?

The experience begins indoors but much of it takes place outside, so please dress appropriately with suitable footwear.

Are there any restrictions?

Minimum age 16. Participants don’t need any previous photography experience, but must have a digital SLR camera.

Lunch is not provided, so please bring it with you. The course trainers are all hand-picked working photographers who share a passion for photography.
