Eagle Handling Experience for Two in Kent
Take a look at this Experience located in Eynsford, Kent.
Eagles are majestic beasts and to see them up close is both rare and unforgettable. Spend an afternoon in rural Kent learning about the natural behavior of these amazing creatures under the guidance of a resident expert, and get an introduction to the art of eagle handling. Head out into the countryside and fly four resident birds to the glove, to experience the incredible sensation of having a huge eagle physically stand on your arm. Take a camera to make the most of the great photo opportunities, especially when meeting the centre’s resident Steller’s Sea Eagle – one of the biggest birds of prey in the world! At the end of the experience, head back to the centre together for a hot cup of tea and a well-earned slice of cake.
Seven days a week throughout the year. Dates fill up quickly, so allow several weeks advance booking notice, and even longer for popular summer weekend dates.
Please call the venue for a weather check the day before setting out. If the experience is cancelled because of bad weather, it can be re-booked for an alternative date.
Starts at 1.30pm and finishes around 4.30pm. During winter months (November – March), the experience begins and ends half an hour earlier.
The experience is exclusive to two people, plus a resident eagle handling expert.
No spectators are allowed.
Dress for the outdoors and wear wellies or walking boots. Bring a change of clothes if the weather is very bad, as most of the day is spent outside. Dont forget your camera and/or a pair of binoculars.
Minimum age is 18. Participants need to be reasonably fit as there is a fair amount of walking involved, often over uneven ground (therefore unsuited for wheelchair users).
There are lots of fascinating creatures at this venue, including reptiles as well as many different species of birds.
