Bird of Prey Experience in Gloucestershire
We love this Cocktail Making & Spirits Experience in Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire.
An intimate introduction to some of the most regal and resplendent flying predators. This induction to the world of falconry begins with a tour of the aviaries, getting up close to different species and learning about what makes each type unique. Next, receive tuition from an experienced bird handler and handle some birds yourself to gain familiarity. Then it’s time to try falconry for real – fly a bird to land on your glove and let it demonstrate its impressive skills. Also included on the day are refreshments and a falconry display.
Selected Sundays from mid February to October.
The weather shouldn’t affect this experience.
Your experience will last for around three hours.
There will be up to eight people taking part in the specific experience. The display is shared with other visiting members of the public to the centre.
This experience isn’t suitable for spectators, but for a small charge guests can visit the venue from 10.30am (£10 adults or £5 children), which also includes a falconry display at 11.30am.
Dress for the outdoors and wear wellies or walking boots, plus a warm coat in winter. If you have a camera or a pair of binoculars, bring them along.
Minimum age is 15. Disabled customers are welcome (please advise us at point of booking), but unfortunately the experience isn’t suitable for wheelchair users.
Please note that dogs are not permitted on-site. This venue is one of the largest bird of prey centres in the country, with around 130 fascinating birds on display.
