Thames Rocket Powerboating and Coca-Cola London Eye for Two, London

See London from a new perspective during this sightseeing tour exclusive to Red Letter Days. Jump aboard a Thames Rocket powerboat and take in the great sights of the capital from the Thames and get ready for some fast fun. Your experienced skipper will be telling you some interesting facts of the Thames in-between the high-speed blasts! Before or after the Thames Rocket ride, head up the iconic Coca-Cola London eye and start things off with the 4D experience – a ground breaking 3D film with amazing physical effects. Then hop into an air-conditioned capsule and ascend to the very top of the Coca-Cola London Eye, taking in awe-inspiring views of London from high above the River Thames along the way. London sightseeing at its best!
Seven days a week during the summer season (March – October). Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only for the remainder of the year (Thames Rockets closes over the Christmas period). The London Eye is also closed for annual maintenance for two weeks each January.
The weather shouldn’t affect this experience as trips go ahead in virtually all conditions, but please do call the venue on the morning of your experience if in any doubt.
The Thames Rocket trip lasts up to one hour and 15 minutes with around 50 minutes on the water. In season runs daily, on the hour between 10am and 6pm. The London Eye lasts around one hour and runs regularly throughout the day from 10am.
Share the Thames Rocket with up to 10 other passengers , plus a skipper and guide. Each London Eye capsule holds a maximum of 25 people.
For the Thames Rocket ride, we recommend that you wear flat-soled shoes. Lifejackets are provided (you may get wet). Please secure glasses with a safety strap to make sure they aren’t blown away.
Under 14’s must be accompanied by a participating adult. If you’ve ever suffered a serious back, neck or knee injury, we recommend that you seek medical advice before booking. Wheelchair users welcome but pregnant women can’t participate on the rib trip.
All skippers are commercially qualified, with years of experience driving high-speed RIBs and lots of fascinating stories to tell about the history of the Thames. Take your booking confirmation letter with you on the day in order to participate.
