Plummeting out of a plane at 15,000 feet (the highest skydive in the UK) might be considered utter madness, but frankly, with an experience this exhilarating it is completely worth it. Begin with around half an hour of instruction on skydiving and landing techniques, before boarding the plane. Once securely harnessed to your instructor, plummet from the plane to enjoy around up to one minute of incredible freefall. The instructor will then open the parachute and control the descent while you admire the view and come to terms with the adrenaline rush. Mind-blowing.

Booking seven days a week between 1 April – 31 August, then the club closes every Tuesday for the remainder of the year. Dates fill up quickly, so book at least four weeks in advance, even earlier for summer weekend dates.

Jumping is always subject to weather conditions and cancellations for this reason are made with your safety in mind. It is crucial that you call the venue before you leave on the morning of your jump to check on weather conditions.

How long does the experience last?

Duration is dependent on factors like the weather and the number of participants on the day. As a guide, your training and jump will take approximately one hour, but you may be at the centre for much of the day.

How many other people?

Your training might be shared, your jump will be one-to-one with a fully qualified skydiver.

Can I take people to watch?

Spectators are welcome but not recommended – it is a long day.

What do I wear?

Dress warmly and comfortably, wear flat-soled shoes (preferably boots with good ankle support for the landing) and bring a sweater as it can get cold on the airfield.

Are there any restrictions?

Reasonable fitness required. Maximum weight 16 stone, minimum age 16. Under 18’s need parental consent. All jumpers are required to complete a health and safety form to confirm they are fit and able to jump.

Anything Else?

There are refreshment and toilet/shower facilities on the drop zone. Jumping is always subject to strict height/weight restrictions: you MUST call the venue at least two weeks before your jump to confirm your details.
