Motocross Day in Powys
A fun Experience in Llangynog, Powys.
Whether a novice or a demon on the track, this challenging experience suits all bike lovers. Motocross is a great sport and under expert guidance, it’s amazing to see what can be achieved in a day. A sign in is followed by a short safety briefing and introduction to the latest high spec. 125, 250 or 450cc (issued depending on size and experience) Kawasaki off road bike. The instructor starts by explaining some off road techniques and provides an introduction to the track. The best way to get the feel of off roading is to ride, so the rest of the morning is spent doing just that. After lunch (sandwiches are included), the fun steps up a level to put those newfound skills into practise. Equipment is provided and the group enjoys exclusive use of the entire track throughout.
At least two Saturday dates per month from March to September.
This experience may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions which can make it dangerous. Please call the centre if in any doubt and the weather is poor.
Starts at 9am and lasts five to six hours, including an hour for lunch.
Share with up to five other motocross fans and a qualified instructor.
As the experience runs over such a large terrain, spectating is not possible.
A helmet, suit, gloves, boots and knee/elbow pads are provided – so just dress comfortably. A change of clothes and a towel are a good idea.
Minimum age is 12 but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum height is 5’2” and maximum weight is 18 stone. A motorcycle licence is not necessary but the experience is not recommended to anyone who has never ridden before.
