This website is the result of many hundreds of hours of work over a period of several years. I have scoured the World Wide Web for new links, tracked down pages which have been moved to new locations, set up and regularly updated a database with information about the links used, and created and updated the web pages you see here. I have undertaken this project because I want to make information about badgers available to as many people as possible, in the hope that this will encourage greater understanding and conservation of these creatures. Please do not copy the results of my labours with the intention of claiming it as your own and/or making a profit from it.

A number of the images used on this site are also copyright © Steve Jackson, most of these are noted as such in the "alt text" for the images in question. (If you use Internet Explorer you can view an image's "alt text" - if it has any - by placing your cursor over the image.) Images which belong to me may be copied for personal use (for example on personal web pages), on condition that the images are identified, on the pages where they are used, as being copyright Steve Jackson, and on condition that a link to Badgers on the Web (www.badgers.org.uk) is also given.

In keeping with the well-established tradition of links pages on the World Wide Web, I have created 'thumbnail' images from pictures on many of the websites which are linked to from this site. These are intended to help promote the sites in question. Copyright remains with the original creator of the images upon which the thumbnails are based.
