Edinburgh Castle and Vintage Bus Afternoon Tea for Two
A nice little Experience in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Combine a trip to Edinburgh’s most iconic attraction with a delectable afternoon tea aboard a vintage bus. Sitting grandly atop the plug of an extinct volcano, the famous Edinburgh Castle looms above much of the city’s skyline. Enter this historic dwelling and make the most of all activities within, such as laying eyes on the Scottish regalia, Britain’s oldest surviving crown jewels. Then change pace with a 90 minute tour aboard a vintage London bus. Having begun life as a 1966 Routemaster, the Red Bus Bistro is now a charming dining vehicle on which friendly staff serve afternoon tea. Tuck into cakes, mini quiche and warm, home-baked scones with a glass of Prosecco each while gazing out at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Old Town and more.
The Christmas and New Year period is traditionally closed out but otherwise, bookings can be made year round. Edinburgh Castle visits are available Monday – Saturday and The Red Bus Bistro Thursday – Sunday.
Spend up to three hours at the castle and 90 mins on the bus. The castle is open from 9.30am – 6pm (last entry 5pm) from 1 Apr – 30 Sept and until 5pm (last entry 4pm) from 1 Oct – 31 Mar. The bus tour is at 12pm and 3pm; please arrive 5 – 10 mins early.
Layers and flat comfortable walking shoes are recommended for walking around the castle.
Guests aged 18 and over are welcome on this experience. Please note that there is no disability access on board the bus.
An e-voucher is sent up to five days after a booking is made, which MUST be printed and produced on the day at all venue points. Once booked and confirmed the package is non-refundable or transferable.
