Image: Hog badger (Arctonyx collaris).

Comments

This is the second of two pictures of a hog badger which was briefly cared for by (External) Wildlife Friends of Thailand . This animal was captured by poachers in May 2002, and was then 'confiscated' by a group of local farmers. The injuries on the badger's snout, resulting from beatings by villagers, were fortunately minor. The hog badger was taken into care by Wildlife Friends of Thailand, and was released back into the wild a few days later.
