Blacksmith Day and Westons Cider tour for Two in Herefordshire

Break the shackles of routine with a hands-on outing designed to pack a punch. Begin with a three-hour forging session in which the tricks and trade of the blacksmith are unveiled. Put on the leather apron provided and learn how to use heat and hammer to create a bottle opener from iron. At the end, take home the handy tool as a souvenir. Enjoy a short break in the woods before heading to nearby Westons Cider. Be treated to a guided tour, learning about the traditional process that goes into their award-winning cider and perry. Rest assured there’ll be the opportunity to taste a selection too. Flex that ancestral muscle with the noble art of forging and earn an idyllic hour or two at a cider mill.

For the working environment, wear fully covering loose fitting cotton clothing with old jeans or trousers. All jewellery, skirts, vests, loose cuffs are prohibited. Sturdy boots are recommended. Leather aprons are provided. Long hair must be tied.
