An Indonesian stink badger

This is an excellent photo of the Indonesian stink badger (Mydaus javanensis). Compare this animal with its Palawan relative shown in the previous Photo File. The Indonesian species has darker, blacker body fur and a much larger patch on its crown. The long naked snout however is a feature shared by both species.
