Indonesian stink badger (1)

Image: Indonesian stink badger (Mydaus javanensis).

Comments

This excellent photo taken by Malaysian photographer Cede Prudente shows some of the characteristic features of the Indonesian stink badger (Mydaus javanensis) - the long naked snout, the dark colouration of the body fur, and the pale patch on the top of the head, which in this specimen is yellowish-white in colour. Hairs of the same colour can be seen forming a stripe down the middle of the lower part of the back, and covering the animal's short tail. Note also the sparse covering of fur on the legs.
