| Notes: | This e-mail provided information about Everett's ferret badger, Melogale everetti: "The animal is not well known and studied. Only some general info: Nocturnal and terrestrial habitat. Carnivorous animal, diet on earthworms, lizards, birds and rats. General distribution known from Mt Kinabalu between 900m - 3700m. Adaptable in various type of forest ecology. Common animal but hard to see. Along trail or open field. The local people trapped them with banana bait on a snare. |
