| Notes: | This article states that a pair of Burmese ferret badgers Melogale personata was held at Assam State Zoo and that 23 honey badgers Mellivora capensis (including 4 pairs) were held in various zoos across India. It also stated that the occurrence of the Burmese ferret badger in India is restricted to the Naga hills, and that it was given the "IUCN status of Vulnerable (Nationally) based on its restricted distribution, limited location, severe fragmentation, continuing decline in extent of occurrence and quality of habitat". |
