A sleeping hog badger (2)

Image: Hog badger (Arctonyx collaris).

Comments

This is the second of two pictures of a hog badger which was found sleeping out in the open during daylight. The photographer, Smith Sutibut of the Bangkok Post, was concerned that the badger might be injured, but he saw no wounds or blood. "In fact", he wrote, "the animal seemed to be sleeping comfortably, breathing in and out with a constant rhythm. Sometimes it stretched out its body and moved into a better position before falling back into slumber."
