A rescued hog badger (1)

Image: Hog badger (Arctonyx collaris).

Comments

This is the first of two pictures of a hog badger which was briefly cared for by Wildlife Friends of Thailand in Petchburi province. There are three things in particular which stand out in these images. First, the hog badger's nose, which clearly explains the animal's alternative name of hog-nosed badger. Second, the huge, pale-coloured claws which the badger uses for digging. And finally, this hog badger clearly likes being in the water!
