A rock scratched by badgers

Image: Rock scratched by badgers.

Comments

I found this rock at a badger sett situated on the cliffs of the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset. There were badger claw marks all over it. This suggested that it had taken quite a bit of scratching before the badger was able to remove the rock and drag it outside.

Notice also the fragments of old bedding material.
