Thai food may be one of the most flavoursome cuisines in the world, but it just so happens to be really easy to recreate in the comfort of your own kitchen. Perfect for budding chefs, this Thai cookery course at The Jamie Oliver Cookery School is the perfect way to enjoy quality time with a loved one. Led by an experienced professional, pick up all there is to know about the flavours and spices used in Thai cooking and how best to combine them. Begin with a welcome drink, then learn about the five key taste sensations and how to balance them, before cooking up a sweet and sour prawn soup, crispy fried beef with tender stem broccoli and pak choi stir fry. At the end, watch the chef whip up a classic coconut rice pudding with roasted pineapple.
Courses generally run on a weekly or fortnightly basis, times and days of the week can vary but are published three months in advance.
Arrive 10 – 15 minutes early to ensure a prompt start. The class lasts around two and a half hours including tasting and eating time.
Please note that the chef may require participants to work in pairs.
There is no dress code but casual clothing and closed toe shoes are recommended. An apron and all equipment is provided.
